An example of a "happy accident" of mine. My girls were enjoying a warm day in the backyard when I shot this picture of my (almost) 1 year old. This was my first photo of the afternoon.

At first all I could see were the flaws - the photo is definitely overexposed and there was evidence of our backyard clutter in the background. And because she can't walk yet, she is covered in leaves, water, and dirt. But with a little cropping and editing in Aperture (Apple's answer to Photoshop) - voila.

Turns out this is one of my favorites from the afternoon - I love it.
