take a deep breath...

Mesquita
Mesquita
Cordoba, Spain

This was supposed to be a Wanderlust post on Wednesday (appropriate for the middle of the week, when most of us are wishing to be anywhere but where we are at that moment) but due to my dog's wanderlust, I didn't get around to it. Spain is a gorgeous country, full of amazing and interesting architecture, and the Mesquita in Cordoba did not disappoint. This structure has been used as a mosque, a synagogue, and a church - just fascinating. For those of you with a list of places to travel to someday, may I suggest the Mesquita.

After the drama of Henry's rescue yesterday, I had a chance to really think about how amazing his return was. In the face of constant bad news with respect to our country and our economy, this week reminded me of some simple truths: what a blessing it is to have family you can rely on, to believe in the kindness of strangers, and that miracles - however big or small - happen everyday. I have a lot to be grateful for.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone - we'll be celebrating my baby's 1st birthday. Pics next week!

Oh no... what happened to Henry? Sounds like he's back safe, thank god. Can't imagine if Chester ran off!

Henry and Jack decided to take a little adventure sans their parents last week. Jack came back to the house, but Henry decided he was having too much fun...a neighbor found him hiding in a bush about 1/2 a mile from our house - 2 days after he'd run away.

But's he's safe and sound now, thank goodness!
